My own personal time of …
Asked why I don’t post anything new on this personal mix-of-things put me in the awkward situation of not having a freakin clue how to answer. Have you ever been in a situation like this? trying to explain your boss why you were late to work, your mom why you are not answering her calls, your boy or girlfriend why you forgot his or her birthday or to yourself what have you been doing!
What does this mean!? Does it mean you wasted the time doing pointless things? Does it mean you had no time to answer a phone call or remember something important just because you have a lot to work and lots on your mind? Or perhaps it means you are just an ignorant fool trying to slide on the endless days?
For me most of the time is a mix of wasted time on reading meaningless stuff, listening to music with no external disturbance and expressing through amateur bad personal style photography. But in order to keep myself on the same page with the surroundings I often put them on a fictional list in no particular order.
So what I have been doing:
1. Nothing, general laziness (once year trust me you have to do this for at least a week)
2. Trying to learn more about: How to get people out of their houses to do a good thing and motivate them to do this in the future by themselves example.
3. Tree For Life, the organization is growing steady with ups and lots of downs but we are enjoying it
34Life.org
4. Discovered some artists I enjoy listening every day like: K’naan, José Padilla, Fun, Old Crow Medicine, Angus and Julia Stone, Brodcast 2000, Mike Edel and many others.
5. Work, work, work in the corporate universe.
6. Played some football here and there, met new people, made new friends.
7. Tried to understand in my own small IQ parameters some new concepts about the web, design, programming techniques and some other fields.
8. Enjoyed the Spring and the rain it came with.
And I also moved the posting and micro-bloging in all this time to Tumblr. I have to admit I prefer Tumblr most of the time, due to it’s simplicity to use and because it reflects what I am seeing or what I am thinking in a particular moment. I also prefer to separate all this micro-bloging from the main site here so if you want to keep track of what I try to share on the web go and check my Tumblr site: http://radum.tumblr.com/ I post something there almost every day now.
And I think these are it, more or less. Don’t try to associate them with time intervals or time at all, reflect for a minute to what you achieved and what you have missed. Now the best thing to do in order to achieve more in the future is to eliminate from the list all those items that you had nothing to gain from and add others that could be more useful or those you have been missing before and in the same time keep those that you feel they brought you some value.
And also don’t forget that the little things have their place in there somewhere, so be sure to let them do their thing. I hope I will find time to add more monochromatic content here in the future.
